PEP's November Newsletter
November is one of my favorite months! It is a month that our nation has officially set aside a day to pause and think about all of the things that we can be thankful for. For me, and hopefully for you too, the educators that have impacted me over the years rise to the surface and cause me to want to reach out and say thanks to them. I challenge you to pause for a minute and think about some of the educators that have positively influenced you over your life. If you have the means to do so, send them a letter, email, or text to let them know you are thankful for them. You might even think about dropping off a pumpkin spice latte and tasty treat to them! Believe me, it will be greatly appreciated.
Here are a few things we have done or are planning on doing to show how thankful we are to educators:
-We delivered Teacher Wishlist items to Parkview Elementary that were focused on STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) instruction. The event was a great experience, and many of you shared with me that you saw the segment that the local news did on their newscast. If you want to see one of the segments, go to https://www.pepschools.org/blog/special-event-at-parkview-elementary or https://www.youtube.com/@PEPschools.
-We delivered hundreds of dollars of classroom supplies to McManus and Citrus Elementaries that were provided by the clients of PEP partner Kevin Baker Allstate Insurance Agency and other local Allstate agents.
-We will be providing a Teacher Wishlist to Wyandotte Academy, which is being funded by community member Steve Connors, who I worked with for a number of years while principal at Wyandotte.
Everything we do at PEP is done to support schools so that students receive a quality education and educators feel supported by their community in making that happen. Thank you for your donations that make this possible!
If you are contemplating a charitable contribution as you review your end-of-year tax picture, please consider supporting PEP. The learning that students do is vital, as are the educators that are doing the teaching. We are truly impacting the future by supporting schools! Also, I would love for you to share our mission with others in your sphere of influence whom you think would like to join our mission.
