It's worth it

Volunteer

We make it easy for volunteers to get involved! PEP is always on the lookout for ways to support schools. We facilitate a variety of volunteer opportunities, and can match you up with the right need, at the right school, right now.

Provide Encouragement

Feature one

Provide Encouragement

Send a letter of encouragement or provide coffee and treats to a school staff.

Everyone loves to get mail! Would you be willing to write a letter of encouragement to school staff? Or maybe your love language is coffee and treats? School staff love to get coffee and treats and their spirits are renewed when they feel the support of their community! PEP is happy to deliver the letters and treats. Just email Todd at todd@pepschools.org and he will set up the purchase of the treats and the drop off!

Adopt a School

Feature three

Adopt a School

Some might want to Adopt a School and be a light that shines on a whole school. PEP will work with you to make a difference on a large scale.

Every school has general needs and specific needs. When you step up to adopt a school, you are able to offer support for students and staff that can range from playground equipment for every class, to treats for staff, or even an ice cream party for students who reach academic goals. The sky is the limit for showing your support for your school.

Volunteer at a School

Feature four

Volunteer at a School

One of the most important ways community members can support schools is to become a volunteer and PEP can help you navigate the process!

Schools benefit when community members volunteer in classes. The types of activities that the volunteer will do varies from teacher to teacher and can include things like reading with or to students, playing math games, or practicing spelling words. The teacher will work with the volunteer to make sure that they get to do something that they are comfortable with doing.

Literacy Development

Feature four

Literacy Development

Reading Pals is a local organization that works in schools to support students in their literacy development. You might want to be their partner!

Reading Pals understands that volunteer opportunities often require a lot of valuable time and you don’t see tangible results from your efforts. Their volunteers follow a simple curriculum and invest just 1 hour a week with 1 student. No special skills are needed! From their investment we see 90% of Reading Pals quadruple their reading levels! Reading with a child doesn’t just teach them to read, it changes the trajectory of their life.
