July 31, 2024,

Dear PEP friends and supporters,

“I can’t begin to thank you enough,” and, “I want to thank you for funding our new incentive program. I cannot believe the change it has made for each of our classes.”  These are just a couple of the messages that were sent to me this school year. These messages could have been addressed to you, our supporters, because Icould not have done it without you!

I am excited to write our first annual update on Positive Educational Partnerships!  As I look back over the past 12 months, I am overwhelmed with what we have been able to do to impact the schools in Butte County.

Over the past year, we have:

  • Raised over $20,000 for local schools.
  • Impacted over 20 individual schools, with direct and indirect support for 20,000 students.
  • Provided support for hundreds of teachers, support staff and administrators.
  • Provided a Teacher Wishlist opportunity to Citrus, Chapman, and McManus elementaries, providing $200 for every teacher for classroom resources.
  • Provided a total of over $1,000 to school clubs and projects including Durham High School’s Ski and Snowboard Club, CORE Butte e-Sports Club, Citrus     Elementary’s Running Club and teacher lending library, Rosedale Elementary’s 5th grade environmental camp and Wellness Center.
  • Provided thousands of dollars in appreciation treats and incentives for students and staff.
  • Formalized three new Community Partners:  people, businesses and/or organizations in the community partnering with a specific school. For a list of all our Community Partners, check out the front page of PEP’s website.
  • These accomplishments were made possible because of YOU!  As we look ahead to our second year, we are excited to share our plans for the upcoming year and invite you to join us in making them a reality.

Goals for the Coming Year:

Expand Our Reach: Support more schools and students.

o  Provide more classroom resources, including offering a Teacher Wishlist to 6 schools, up from 3 this year.

o  Provide consistent bi-monthly emotional support and encouragement through treats and incentives to more schools.

Community Engagement: Foster stronger partnerships between schools, families, and our community.

o  Increase the number of community partners that directly support specific local schools from three to nine.

o  Increase monthly partner donations from $1,300to $3,000.  We can meet this goal if we have 17 new $100 monthly donors!

o  Double the number of letters of encouragement for educators from 50 to 100.

Special Projects:

o  Have $10,000 designated for special school projects, clubs and events.

How You Can Help:

To achieve these goals, we need your continued support. We are launching our annual fundraising campaign with a goal of raising $40,000 for the upcoming school year. This will allow us to double the number of schools we provide the Teacher Wishlist opportunity to, and provide more consistent, monthly support to schools. Your donation will directly impact the lives of students and teachers, providing them with the tools and opportunities they need to thrive.
